Program Sellers
Help sell official tournament
programs at various locations throughout the site. The money raised benefits
the WTEF and the youth it serves. Volunteers for this committee must be at
least 14 years old by
July
31, 2009

Ushers
Provide information about the
tournament and the tournament site, help spectators find their seats, control
crowd movement in the stadium and outside courts while matches are in progress,
collect tickets at tournament gates and corporate receptions, monitor other
access points to the site and help distribute special promotional materials to
ticket holders. All ushers will be required to work one of the Qualifying days,
Saturday, August 1 or Sunday, August 2. Volunteers for this committee must be
at least 18 years old by
July
31, 2009

Special Events
Responsibilities include staffing
and helping with all special events including Kids Day, Family Picnic Day, and
the Fast Serve interactive area. Volunteers for this committee must be at least
14 years old by
July
31, 2009
.
Volunteer Check-In/Support
Help with general tasks to support
volunteer activities during the tournament. Maintain the village, which serves
as an information source and relaxation area for volunteers and coordinate many
activities including check-in for volunteers. Volunteers for this committee
must be at least 16 years old by
July
31, 2009
.
Security
Monitor access to the tournament
facilities and guard special player and official areas. Evening volunteers may
be requested to stay until 30 minutes after the conclusion of the last evening
match. Volunteers for this committee must be at least 21 years old by
July 31, 2009
.
Player Transportation
Drive players and their guests to
and from various locations in Mercedes-Benz vehicles provided by the event.
Volunteers on this committee must provide a valid driver's license (see
additional information for transportation) and be willing to work extended hours
if needed. Volunteers for this committee must be at least 25 years old by
July 31, 2009
.
Additional Information for the
Transportation Committee
· Please attach a clear photocopy of
your valid driver's license and proof of insurance to your application. No
transportation volunteer will be allowed to drive without one on file prior to
the event.
· Directions are always provided to
drivers and
FLEX
hours are available. However,
drivers must be very knowledgeable of the
Washington
metropolitan area and have a good
sense of direction.
· Tournament pick-ups will be
between the hours of
8:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
or until the end of the last match
of the evening session. Qualifying Saturday, August 1 pick-ups will begin at
6:30 a.m.
